Calgary Dog Parks

While you’re taking your pup out for exercise, you might as well find some beautiful dog parks to explore together. The City of Calgary has an incredible 150 off-leash areas throughout its multi-use parks. Just remember to keep on the leash outside of those designated spots. Now get out there and find a new local hang for you and your pal, and don’t forget to bring the poop bags!

River Park

River Park is a busy dog park located on the ridge above Sandy Beach. It has a large off-leash area and great views of downtown Calgary and the Elbow River.

Bowmont is a large, natural dog park along the Bow River, with numerous off-leash areas, including one that’s fenced.

Sue Higgins Park

Formerly known as Southland Park and accurately dubbed “the mother of all dog parks,” Sue Higgins has the largest fenced off-leash area in all of Calgary.
