Welcome to Candy Cane Lane, a much-loved Edmonton tradition for more than 50 years. Established in 1968, Candy Cane Lane has always been an event run by volunteers and residents. They are a festival where everyone is welcome. Everyone is encouraged to respectfully enjoy the lights and decorations as residents set up, make and buy all of their own displays.
Please be aware that weather conditions may leave many sidewalks and streets slippery. Residents do their best to keep sidewalks clear but it is not always possible to be as magical as Santa. YEG Candy Cane Lane is a two way street. Cars, buses and other large vehicles are permitted to drive the lane for those who are unable to walk. Please be sure to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Edmonton Food Bank and place them in the green bins located along Candy Cane Lane.
Walk, bike, sled or ski - Candy Cane Lane will be closed to cars on December 9, 16, and 23. The event is dog-friendly. Please keep your pet on a leash, pick up after them, and be sure that your dog is comfortable with large crowds, horses, and other dogs
