Ensuring complete nutrition is one of the frustrating challenges of having a fussy eater. But the challenge is twofold- you need to find a quality food, and one they’ll actually eat. Sounds easy… Dogs crave and need quality sources of meat and fat. After all, it’s what makes the food taste good to a dog! Kabo uses only human-grade ingredients, including proteins. Carbohydrates & Fiber

Picky eaters, like yours, need carbohydrates to provide them with energy and fiber for digestive tract health. Kabo uses only natural whole sources of carbohydrates such as russet potato, sweet potato, chickpeas, squash and rice- depending on the recipe. We don’t use any corn or wheat for carbohydrates.

There is little official guidance on carbohydrates in dog food. So with our on-staff, Canadian  animal nutritionists we’ve developed all recipes with whole fruits and vegetables to naturally enhance your pup’s diet vs. questionable fillers. Kabo only uses these nutrient dense whole ingredients to add fiber to your dog's diet. Canadian produce including red apples, green beans, carrots, spinach, kale, and broccoli not only lend fiber to your pup's diet, but also supplies them with essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals such as potassium, vitamins A, C & K, folate, iron, and more. 

Parents of picky eaters often bend to the will of their dog and offer up human foods or even cook for them. This can cause gastric distress in some situations and questionable nutrition in most. With Kabo, you’ll likely notice that after a couple of weeks their poops are tighter, more uniform, and they’ll be less gassy too!

Fats

Fats are an essential part of your dogs diet, as it is for humans. But it’s important to get just the right amount, and the right types. All types of dogs can experience skin and coat issues. Including Omega fatty acids in their diets supports healthy skin and coat, immune function, cardiovascular health and more.  

Our food contains essential fats from lean proteins, and is supplemented with both fish oil and sunflower oil to provide both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. No pricey supplements required.
