Adult Newfoundland: 120-150 lb (54-67.5 kg)
Over the years, Newfoundlands have proven to be very loyal companions of their owners. However, this best friend of man is prone to several dietary issues including some serious digestive and intestinal disorders. The chances of the developing of many health conditions can be decreased by opting for a healthy diet. Some dog food companies ignore the importance of high-quality protein, which is the most essential element in your dog’s balanced diet. However, unlike other food brands, Kabo uses only high-quality human-grade meat protein as its first ingredient.
Our Luscious Lamb recipe features lean meat to fulfill the nutritional needs of dogs allergic to common protein sources like chicken. For those dogs with more advanced food allergies, our Hypoallergenic Salmon is made with real salmon filets, blueberries, and spinach. When your Newfoundland's stomach is upset, try feeding them the Tender Chicken recipe to tame their turbulent tummy.
Carbohydrates provide much-needed energy and fibre plays a crucial role in maintaining your dog’s digestive health. Using fillers like corn and wheat as sources of carbohydrates is a common practice in the industry. Contrary to its competition, we use only whole sources of carbohydrates like sweet potatoes, chickpeas, squash, russet potato and rice according to each recipe.
Kabo goes the extra mile to take care of your dog’s health by using the expertise of our in-house animal nutritionists despite having no official guidance from AAFCO on carbohydrates. Every ingredient is chosen on the basis of the value they provide to your dog. The list of Canadian fruits and vegetables we use for fibre includes red apples, green beans, carrots, blueberries, spinach and kale. These ingredients not only cover your dog’s fibre needs, but they also provide essential minerals and vitamins like potassium, iron and folic acid along with vitamins A, C and K.
The quality of fats used in dry kibble can be questionable. Poor quality fat sources may increase the chances of worsening existing ailments like skin conditions, ear infections, or obesity. On the other hand, fats containing Omega fatty acids can boost your dog’s overall health including the immune system, skin, coat and joint health.
We gently prepare our food using a balance of fats from lean meats and highly nutritious fish oil and sunflower oils which are known as excellent sources of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. A comprehensive diet like Kabo fresh foods eliminates the need of buying pricey supplements separately.
Jack is a 6 year old Newfiepoo (Newfoundland and Standard Poodle mix) and started getting a bit picky with his food at around 5 years old. It's almost like eating became a chore for him vs. something he enjoyed. We felt terrible :(. We introduced Kabo as a topper roughly 6 months ago and we can confirm breakfast and dinner are now the happiest times of the day for him! Jack is one happy customer, if not the happiest! Thanks Kabo!

We love Kabo! My dog Luna has been eating Kabo for a couple of months now and loves it! She's a picky eater and we are so happy to finally find a food that she loves! Her favorite is the Lucious Lamb and we are just about to add the new Hypoallergenic Salmon. Her coat looks amazing and she has more energy!
