Most commonly occurring ailments in labradors like bloat, obesity, and muscle weakness are often related to their diet. To maintain their healthy weight and comfort, a high-quality diet is crucial. Here at Kabo, the primary ingredient in our recipes is human-grade animal protein sources. To ensure your Labrador maintains an ideal weight and receives the correct amount of nutrition, our high-quality recipes are custom portioned for your Lab.
Labradors tend to have sensitive stomachs and can be allergic to common meat proteins. For such Labradors, our new hypoallergenic salmon recipe is an ideal choice. It’s made with salmon filets and allergy friendly ingredients. Our Tender Chicken recipe is simplistic and helps relieve upset stomachs.
Digestible carbohydrates keep your Labrador active and fiber helps keep their digestive system in check. We use only natural sources of carbohydrates such as sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, chickpeas, rice, and squash. In contrast to dry foods that use wheat or corn as fillers, Kabo’s fresh recipes don’t contain wheat or corn, or fillers of any kind.
Despite having no official guidance from AAFCO regarding carbohydrates, lab owners can rest assured- Kabo has exclusively crafted their recipes using the expertise of our in-house nutritionists. Nutrient-dense ingredients, all of which serve a different purpose are part of the Kabo promise of high-quality food. The company relies only on Canadian-Sourced high-quality veggies and fruits like spinach, broccoli, red apples, green beans, carrots, and kale to provide your Labradors with the fiber content and essential minerals and vitamins like potassium, iron, vitamin A, C, and K along with folic acid.
Similar to humans, fats are also an unavoidable element of a Labrador retriever’s balanced diet. However, the tricky part is choosing the appropriate amounts and healthy sources of fat.
Bloating and obesity in Labradors which is quite common can be triggered by poor quality foods, or environmental/food allergies. Kabo promotes healthier skin and fur, better immunity, and an overall improved healthy lifestyle by including nutrients like Omega Fatty acids.
To provide your Labrador with essential fats only, Kabo chooses lean cuts of meat for Our recipes which are later supplemented with human-grade sunflower and fish oil that are rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. Say goodbye to expensive add-ons and hard to give supplements!
My senior dog had gotten to a fussy stage of refusing all dog food and it was a struggle to get him to eat at all. I tried Kabo as a Hail Mary and after spoon feeding him the first few bites, he devoured the rest. He quickly got back on track with wanting to eat meals twice daily, and now loudly reminds me if I’m a bit late!! So happy to see him eating well and thriving again!!

I was on a journey to find Abby new dog food. Then all of a sudden a Kabo add showed up on my Facebook page. I clicked on it, and that was 14 months ago. Abby enjoys all 4 flavours that they offer, and let me tell you she’s picky. If you need anything they are willing to assist you right away. Abby would also like to thank everyone at Kabo for the treats and gifts that are sent throughout the year. Abby also would like to say thank you for looking after our environment with the new recycled packages.
