Golden Retriever x Standard Poodle
Obesity, allergies, and sensitive stomachs are common dietary issues facing goldendoodles. High quality food is vital to keep them at a healthy weight and comfortable. In all Kabo meals, human-grade meat is the 1st ingredient. Quality, digestible proteins along with custom portioning will help keep your goldendoodle at their optimal weight- a must for avoiding additional joint stress.
Parents of goldendoodles that are allergic to common animal proteins such as chicken, will appreciate the Luscious Lamb recipe. For dogs that are on a grain-free diet, our Savoury Beef variety is an excellent option.
Goldendoodles require carbohydrates to provide them with energy and fiber for digestive health. Kabo uses only natural whole sources of carbohydrates such as russet potato, sweet potato, chickpeas, squash and rice- depending on the recipe. We don’t use any fillers, corn or wheat for carbohydrates like many dry dog foods.
With no official guidance from AAFCO on carbohydrates, pet parents can rest assured- we’ve formulated our menus using our in-house animal nutritionists. Kabo only uses nutrient dense produce, all of which serve a different function. Canadian fruits and vegetables including red apples, green beans, carrots, spinach, kale, and broccoli are used in our recipes for fiber and essential vitamins, and minerals such as potassium, vitamins A, C & K, folic acid, iron, and more.
Goldendoodles' digestive tracts can be notoriously sensitive and prone to inflammation. Our chicken and rice option is gentle on their stomachs when they are upset. Also, you may notice that after a couple of weeks of feeding Kabo, their loose stool is tighter, more uniform, and they’ll be less gassy too!
Fats are an essential part of your goldendoodle's balanced diet, as it is for humans. But it’s important to get just the right amount, and the right types. Goldies sometimes experience skin issues like atopic dermatitis. Including Omega fatty acids in their diets supports healthy skin, a beautiful golden coat, immune function, cardiovascular health, joint health and more.
Our food contains essential fats from lean meats, and is supplemented with fish oil and sunflower oil to provide both Omega-3 fatty acids and Omega-6 fatty acids. Great for heart and joint health. No pricey supplements required!
We are on our fourth delivery of toppers for our 12 year old golden doodle and the improvement in him in so many ways is astounding. He runs all around our field. His level of energy and endurance is definitely increased and he is bright eyed and bushy tailed. I have a very fussy eater so I thought I would try Kabo. I ordered the beef toppers and they did not go over that well, she ate the first few and then would not eat the beef. I switched her to the chicken and she absolutely loves it. No more refusals to eat. She is a two and a half year old Golden Doodle and weighs close to 70 pounds.
