Adult German Shepherd: 75-80 lb. (34-36 kg)
Bloat, food allergies, and diabetes are some health issues directly related to the diet of your German Shepherd. Choosing a high-quality food option can help decrease stomach issues and maintain optimal health. The use of human-grade animal protein sources as the 1st ingredient is what sets Kabo apart.
German Shepherds can be sometimes allergic to common protein sources like chicken. For such cases, we recommend our new Hypoallergenic Salmon recipe. Our Savoury Beef recipe is a high-quality protein source for German Shepherds on a grain-free diet.
Being a highly active breed, German shepherds need high-quality protein sources to stay healthy and function properly. Similarly, optimal fiber sources are essential to minimize the chances of digestive issues. Depending upon the recipe, Kabo chooses natural whole sources of carbohydrates including chickpeas, russet potato, squash, rice, and sweet potatoes. Unlike conventional dry foods, Kabo is strictly against the use of fillers like wheat and corn.
AAFCO has no official guidance when it comes to carbohydrates. Therefore our in-house nutritionists use their expertise to formulate a perfectly balanced diet for your German Shepherd. Parents of shepherds can rest assured as we only use nutrient-dense ingredients for our high-quality foods. Fresh veggies and fruits including green beans, kale, spinach, carrots, broccoli, and red apples sourced directly from Canadian farms are used in our recipes. These ingredients provide optimum fiber content along with several beneficial minerals and vitamins like iron, potassium, vitamin A, C, and K.
A sensitive digestive tract of your German Shepherd that is prone to inflammation can lead to several serious health conditions. Our Tender Chicken recipe is specifically formulated to comfort upset stomachs while maintaining carbohydrate and protein levels.
When it comes to the importance of fats, a fresh and balanced German Shepherd diet looks similar to a healthy human diet. However, choosing the right type of fats and the right amounts plays a crucial role.
Our high-quality dog food is supplemented with human grade, high-quality sunflower and fish oil to provide essential Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. These fatty acids are natural supplements to maintain the good health of your German Shepherd.
Since Kabo provides portions based on your pup’s specifics, you can be assured that you’ll be serving the right amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fats each mealtime.
I wish I had found Kabo sooner. My beautiful German Shepherd refused to eat because I had to take her off her usual raw diet while undergoing chemotherapy. I tried every product in the pet store, and every combination of foods suggested in online articles. I purchased rotisserie chicken and beef, and even cooked meat for her, which I had to learn how to do because I have been vegan since my teen years. When my Kabo order arrived she had just come home from the ICU at the Veterinary Emergency hospital. I presented her with the food in her bowl and she started eating for the first time in almost two weeks. I cried. Sadly, she was too ill and deteriorated. I had to let her cross the Rainbow Bridge. I will recommend Kabo to her oncologist for other patients who encounter a similar problem with eating

Love Kabo! My dog is fairly picky and gets sick of food quickly but also has a sensitive stomach so I was struggling to find canned food she would eat and sat well in her stomach. She loves kabo and I love that I can switch it up between chicken and beef and lamb and she doesn't seem to get sick of them!
