Obesity and allergies are common dietary issues for French bulldogs. A quality diet is essential to keep them at a healthy weight and comfortable. Kabo uses only high-quality, Canadian, and human-grade proteins in all of their Fresh Food options. Quality proteins and custom portioning will help keep your French bulldog lean and trim.
Parents of Frenchies which are allergic to common proteins such as chicken, will appreciate the Luscious Lamb recipe. Those pups allergic to grains can enjoy our grain-free Savoury Beef variety.
French Bulldogs, like yours, need carbohydrates to provide them with energy and fibre for digestive tract health. Kabo uses only natural whole sources of carbohydrates such as russet potato, sweet potato, chickpeas, squash and rice- depending on the recipe. We don’t use any corn or wheat for carbohydrates.
There is no official guidance from AAFCO on carbohydrates, so with our animal nutritionists we’ve used only whole fruits and vegetables to naturally enhance your Frenchies diet. Kabo only uses nutrient dense whole ingredients which add fibre to our meals. Canadian produce including red apples, green beans, carrots, spinach, kale, and broccoli not only lend fibre to your French bulldogs diet, but supplies them with essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals such as potassium, vitamins A, C & K, folate, iron, and more.
French Bulldogs are known to have very sensitive stomachs, and are not afraid to fart in mixed company. You may notice that after a couple of weeks of feeding Kabo, their poops are tighter, more uniform, and they’ll be less gassy too!
Fats are an essential part of your French Bulldogs diet, as it is for humans. But it’s important to get just the right amount, and the right types. Frenchies sometimes experience skin issues within their skin folds. Including Omega fatty acids in their diets supports healthy skin and coat, immune function, cardiovascular health and more. Our food contains essential fats from lean proteins, and is supplemented with both fish oil and sunflower oil to provide both Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. No pricey supplements required.
Our 10 month old Frenchie pup always waits till 10pm to eat her food - doesn't eat all day then eats at bedtime just because she realizes that's all that she is getting. We have been using Kabo toppers now for a few weeks and we mix it with her kibble and she eats everything! Licks her bowl clean. Her coat looks great. So happy we found Kabo! Great customer service too. I like the email reminders. We've only given her the chicken but just ordered a combo of chicken / beef to give her some variety. My bet is that she'll love the beef too.

When Rizzo was diagnosed with Micro Vascular Dysplasia (a serious congenital liver condition), the internal medicine specialist told me her diet would need to change. Until then I had fed her a raw diet. Now, her body needed for her food to be cooked and to be a more balanced mix of protein and healthy carbohydrates. I didn’t even know where to begin. Their service is easy and reliable. Rizzo is a special French Bulldog. She is strong, athletic, happy and very loving.
