To provide a healthy option for Basenjis who are food allergy sufferers, our Hypoallergenic Salmon recipe is made with a limited ingredients list, featuring real salmon filets, blueberries and spinach. 

Carbohydrates & Fiber

Basenjis are a very energetic breed. A major source of this energy comes from carbohydrates. To provide your Basenji with the energy they need, Kabo chooses only whole natural sources of carbohydrates sourced from Canadian farms. We include carbs in our recipes from chickpeas, squash, sweet potato, rice, and russet potato- depending on the recipe. Unlike some commercial dog foods, even premium ones, our recipes do not contain any corn, corn syrup or wheat.

All of the nutrient-dense produce used in Kabo’s recipes serves a different functional purpose. We source  quality fresh produce from Canadian farms. These ingredients include green beans, red apples, spinach, kale, spinach, and carrots. All of which are known for being rich in essential minerals and vitamins like potassium, iron, folic acid,  and Vitamins A, C, and K.

Fats

Fats are an important part of your Basenji's balanced diet just like it is for humans. Dogs need to consume healthy fats in order to function properly. Kabo's in-house nutritional experts formulate our recipes with the correct amounts of essential fats. 

Our fresh dog food recipes contain essential fats from lean, quality meat proteins and is then supplemented with human-grade fish oil and sunflower oil to provide Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids.  Great for aiding in skin, immune and heart health- no expensive supplements required!
